I am experienced in partnership and collaborative working. I have come to know that working creatively together produces outcomes that are impossible to generate alone.
I also work alongside 3 other artists under the name The Collaborators, we create multi media content and produce large scale projections across the country. Please see website link HERE
Experimenting through play, making mistakes and trying stuff out is a the the heart of 'Experiences' approach to learning. Young people often know how to play, but older people sometimes need to be reminded. Play is not just messing about, instead 'Experience' believes it's where imagination meets the practical and invention occurs.
'Experience' works with any age young or older and all activity, training and sessions are developed to be age and ability appropriate.
I believe Radio gives individuals a voice and a platform for them to listen and be listened to. Working with radio people find a place to collaborate, play, explore and work, whilst developing social and literacy skills. Working on projects, such as desert island discs or creating radio content, technical and real life skills are learnt
Learning to play the drums should be a hugely enjoyable & rewarding experience. This is why I design lessons to suit individual needs and skill levels. I ensure all of my students have a fun & educational lesson in a friendly & professional environment. Held in a purposely-built drum room with two drum kits, students gain everything they need to improve their skills. I teach Rockschool grades 1-8.
All genres of music are covered including Latin, Brazilian & World. Instruments that i teach alongside Kit could be Congas, Bongos, Timbales, Surdos, Hep, Djembe & all hand held percussion.
Being a drummer is more than just a hobby; it is a lifestyle – one that takes a lot of commitment and diligence to succeed at. The payout; however, is immense. Being a drummer can be one of the most fulfilling things someone can do in their life. But how do you get to that level of musicianship? There is definitely a difference between a drummer who plays for a hobby, and a drummer who plays for a lifestyle. The big difference is attitude and practice habits. Having the self control and commitment to practice regularly is the only way you will improve as a drummer.
I am interested in encouraging and inspiring individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences. By participating in creative, motivating tasks and activities in a woodland environment everyone has an opportunity to develop sound emotional and social skills. Working this way develops understanding of the world and environment through the use of imagination and senses.

Like play 'Experience' encourages experimentation and exploration. Through experimenting with sound, visuals and different media or instruments people find their voice. Central to experimenting is making mistakes and failing, but through failing we learn and think again.

“Working with Andy was an absolute eye-opener for the true scope of film based activities that were possible in the classroom. Every session brought different skills and knowledge that was applicable across the whole curriculum, breaking down the barriers to a whole new way of teaching. We have now introduced filming as a new artistic art form in our school and it has already had a big impact on learning, especially in engaging children who struggle to access written work. The ease and confidence with which Andy engages and teaches the children had everyone, regardless of ability, accomplishing extraordinary tasks by the end of the session.” Ben Van Loo - Carlton Primary
Film club was developed to introduce creative film making and basic animation to all. I use stop motion alongside other camera based work and Apps. Everyone is encouraged either in groups or as individuals to develop personal narrative, characters, story boarding, lighting, filming and editing.
Artists of all types have always recognized the value of exploration and experimentation. Teachers, too, have always worked to shape desired convictions, knowledge, and behavior.
The explosion of new technologies has changed the way we live, the way we do business and the way we communicate. Technological advancements are also affecting the way we learn. I use technology to enables students and teachers to learn new skills to create, live and work in this digital age.
"I think Andy has been a massive benefit in school especially when working with 10K. The group has engaged really well when I have worked within these lessons. I believe that the creative ways used to engage these pupils has worked and helped them in learning life skills which will be important to their future. The interview sessions they did are a great example of this. I think that this type of lesson would be excellent used across the whole school and would benefit most year 10 and year 11 pupilsin gaining them life skills and also giving them ideas on different areas they may wish to pursue in the future."

'Experience' has a mission to encourage more people to play and experiment and connect through music and visuals. I have a strong belief that music makes people powerful and helps us communicate things we cant put into words.
I actively undertake various commissions and have a good track record in developing and delivering work made in collaboration with artists, musicians and other specialists. The outcomes of this range from soundtracks for film, sound based sculptures and oral history projects.
